A dedicated iron slat bench bench painted black and accommodating two people has a bronze plaque honoring SP4 Paul D'Amato Jr. The plaque is inscribed:

SP4 Paul John D'Amato Jr. was born on January 11, 1949 and a resident of Agawam, MA. He was serving with the 2nd Platoon, Company A, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. On December 24, 1970, just 1.75 hours before cease fire was to go into effect, he was holding a night defensive position in Thua Thien Province. He was killed by a friendly artillery shell from Fire Support Base Bastogne.
