La première pierre de l'église neuve est posée le 15 novembre 1866 sur le terrain dit Pra-de-Bourg et l'inauguration a lieu en 1870 en tant qu'église de la Transfiguration. Elle appartient aujourd'hui à l'archevêché d'Avignon
Le clocher de l'église neuve (par opposition à l'« église vieille » ou « église haute » accessible par un escalier de 86 marches !) est coiffé d'un haut toit pointu.
C'est l'une des rares églises françaises à ne pas appartenir à la ville car, fruit d'une souscription, elle était édifice privé.

The first stone of the new church was laid on November 15, 1866 on the so-called Pra-de-Bourg land and the inauguration took place in 1870 as the Transfiguration church. It belongs today to the archbishopric of Avignon
The bell tower of the new church (as opposed to the "old church" or "high church" accessible by a staircase of 86 steps!) Is topped with a high pointed roof.
It is one of the few French churches not to belong to the city because, as a result of a subscription, it was a private building.
