The porch was built in 1926 as a First World War memorial. It is built of stone with a pitched stone roof. The inscribed stone tablet is lancet shaped with a circular laurel wreath at the top centre, and is located on the right hand wall as you enter the porch.

The inscription on the tablet reads as follows;
'1914 PRO PATRIA 1918
THIS PORCH WAS ERECTED TO THE GLORY OF GOD
AND TO THE MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH
WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR'
