FR L'édifice est en parfait état malgré les mutilations dues aux guerres de religion. Il est la synthèse de plusieurs tendances architecturales, témoin d'un art roman finissant (fin 12ème siècle) avec des influences lombardes. Son aspect est celui d'une forteresse avec des murailles de 2 mètres d'épaisseur. Construit en calcaire noir des carrières d'Eyguians, il est emprunt d'une beauté austère.

Restaurée au siècle dernier, elle est le dernier édifice restant du célèbre prieuré de Notre-Dame de Lagrand fondé vers l'an 1000.

C'est l'un des plus vieux monuments historiques des Hautes-Alpes.
EN The building is in perfect condition despite the mutilations due to the wars of religion. It is the synthesis of several architectural trends, witness of a late Romanesque art (late 12th century) with Lombard influences. Its aspect is that of a fortress with walls 2 meters thick. Constructed of black limestone from the quarries of Eyguians, it is borrowed from an austere beauty.

Restored in the last century, it is the last remaining building of the famous priory of Notre-Dame de Lagrand founded around the year 1000.

It is one of the oldest historical monuments of the Hautes-Alpes.
