FR Le combat de l'archange saint Michel contre le Dragon, figure allégorique du mal, est évoqué dans l'Apocalypse de saint Jean. À l'issue de la lutte de l'archange contre les anges rebelles, le Dragon est terrassé et précipité sur la terre.
On connaît de nombreuses représentation de cette allégories dont

EN The battle of the archangel Saint Michael against the Dragon, allegorical figure of evil, is evoked in the Apocalypse of Saint John. At the end of the archangel's struggle against the rebel angels, the Dragon is overthrown and precipitated on the earth.
