FR Ce parc de 49 000 m² porte le nom de son concepteur, Gaston Therras. L’arboretum le Jardin de Gaston est un petit bijou verdoyant qui s’étend sur plus de 4 hectares.

Depuis juin 2004, il offre aux visiteurs un cadre tranquille et naturel, propice aux découvertes botaniques, à la détente et aux balades. Aujourd’hui, plus de 150 espèces d’arbres et arbustes peuvent y être observés. Aux détours d’arbres familiers, retrouvez par exemple un liquidambar, un ginko biloba (arbre aux quarante écus), un bouleau à écorces décoratives, un nissa (tulepo)…

Des écriteaux plantés aux pieds des arbres vous permettent de les identifier facilement. L’arboretum abrite également une riche vie volatile, avec plus de 40 espèces recensées : cygnes noirs et blancs, pigeons paons, bernaches de Magellan et toutes sortes de palmipèdes. Pour favoriser la détente, l’aménagement de l’arboretum n’a cessé d’être amélioré depuis son inauguration : accessibilité aux personnes à mobilité réduite, bancs supplémentaires, nouvelle pelouse, nouvelles corbeilles à papier, nouvelle entrée piétonne.

Au coeur de ce parc, on peu voir cet hôtel à insectes qui s'inscrit dans le projet global.
EN This 49,000 m² park is named after its designer, Gaston Therras. The arboretum Le Jardin de Gaston is a verdant little jewel that stretches over 4 hectares.

Since June 2004, it offers visitors a tranquil and natural setting, favorable to botanical discoveries, relaxation and walks. Today, more than 150 species of trees and shrubs can be observed. In the course of familiar trees, find for example a liquidambar, a ginko biloba (tree with forty ecus), a birch with decorative barks, a nissa (tulepo) ...

Signs planted at the feet of the trees allow you to easily identify them. The arboretum is also home to a rich, volatile life, with more than 40 species listed: black and white swans, peacock pigeons, Magellan goose and all kinds of palmipeds. To improve relaxation, the arboretum has been continuously improved since its inauguration: accessibility for people with reduced mobility, additional benches, new lawn, new wastebasket, new pedestrian entrance.
