This Richardson Romanesque depot was built in 1895 for the Boston and Albany Railroad. The first train that passed thru Warren was October 1, 1839. This style of train stations originated by Henry Hobson Richardson in the 1880's. After his death, Richardson was succeeded by Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge which designed this station.
