Bronze-Skulptur "Uralte Form" von Lajos Barta (1899-1986) im Hiroshima-Nagasaki-Park am Aachener Weiher in Köln-Lindenthal. Lajos Barta hat ein Dutzend Großplastiken im öffentlichen Raum geschaffen, acht davon stehen in Deutschland. Barta, der auch etliche Jahre in Paris gelebt hatte, war 1965 (66-jährig) von Budapest in die Bundesrepublik Deutschland emigriert, weil das sozialistische System abstrakte Kunst nicht zuließ. Zunächst hatte er für zwei Jahre sein Atelier im Bahnhof Rolandseck, seit 1967 lebte und arbeitete er in Köln-Ehrenfeld und Paris. Eine zweite Fassung der Plastik wurde 1987 in Székesfehérvár (Ungarn) aufgestellt.

Lajos Barta has created a dozen large sculptures in the public space, eight of which are to find in Germany. Barta, who had also lived in Paris for several years, emigrated from Budapest to the Federal Republic of Germany in 1965 because the socialist system did not allow abstract art. For the first time, he had his studio at the Rolandseck station for two years. Since 1967 he has lived and worked in Cologne-Ehrenfeld and Paris. A second version of the sculpture was made in Székesfehérvár (Hungary) in 1987.
