The monument is located in the airpark of the National Air Force Museum of Canada, off RCAF Road in east Trenton.

Black granite memorial list all the members of the Squadron who served in World War II. Included are those who flew with the RAF, the RAAF and the USAAF.

The Squadron was formed in 1941 and was assigned to RAF Coastal Command. It was equipped with Bristol Blenheims. In Sept 1941 and until 1943, the Squadron was equipped with Lockheed Hudson strike fighters. It was during this period the Squadron earned its nickname "Demons". From 1945 to war's end it was requipped with Vickers Wellingtons in the Coastal Patrol role.
