"Sur l'esplanade du Peyrou à Montpellier il passe inaperçu juste devant l'imposant monument du chateau d'eau.
Pourtant il est assez original ce cadran solaire incrusté dans le sol de l'esplanade avec sa forme elliptique et son absence d'aiguille.
Car en fait l'aiguille qui indique l'heure c'est le curieux qui passe qui la remplace en se plaçant droit comme un I sur la position du mois de l'année .
on rajoute +1 en hiver ... 13h , c'est ça c'était la pause ..."

"On the esplanade of Peyrou in Montpellier it goes unnoticed just in front of the imposing monument of the castle of water.
Yet it is quite original this sundial encrusted in the ground of the esplanade with its elliptical shape and its absence of needle.
For in fact the needle that indicates the hour is the curious who passes that replaces it by placing itself right as an I on the position of the month of the year.
