"L'Atelier du burger a ouvert ses portes le 27 juillet dernier Montrichard. Vincent Schneider, le maître des lieux voit là l'aboutissement d'un parcours commencé à l'école hôtelière de Blois. Après avoir travaillé pour un patron, il a acquis la sandwicherie de Chaumont-sur-Loire où il a aussi fait « de la restauration parce que les sandwichs ne me satisfaisaient pas. » Huit ans plus tard, il a travaillé pour une franchise, « pas longtemps, ce n'était pas la cuisine comme je la conçois. » Il a passé un an de transition, employé à retravailler le burger en discutant avec des amis, jusqu'à en créer une carte. Ne restait qu'à trouver le local. C'est maintenant chose faite et Vincent propose désormais des burgers maison, servis à l'assiette, préparés avec des produits frais et à la demande.
« J'avais une idée précise du pain que je voulais et un ami boulanger de la région l'a élaboré spécialement pour moi. Je prends la viande chez le boucher de la ville, et je fais mon marché à Montrichard. » Il cuisine tout, les burgers originaux accompagnés de frites ou de salades, les dips de poulet, les sauces, les desserts… Victime de son succès il doit parfois faire face à des vagues de clients qui arrivent en même temps?: « J'espère que je n'ai pas déçu, à certains moments je n'ai pas pu servir tous les clients comme je le souhaite, mais, en septembre, j'embauche?! »"
