This memorial was placed here by the Uniontown Exchange Club in 1949 to honor the men and women who passed through this school and served their country in World War II. It is located on the lawn of the old Central School that was later used as a Penn State Satelite Campus before the Fayette Campus was built in the 1960's, then as the Adminstrative Offices of the Uniontown Area School District before being sold a few years back when the offices to the High School after renovations there to accommodate their needs. The monument is just off the sidewalk on the public area.
