EN: The viewpoint of Chellenchöpfli offers a great view to the south. It is located on 1157 meters above sea level over a rock face on the soil of the municipality of Waldenburg, directly at the border with the canton of Solothurn. The place is easy to reach by foot from the north.
You can see the village of Mümliswil just in front of you, about three kilometers away, surrounded by the last foothills of the Jura mountains. Behind them, the lowlands of the Swiss Plateau begins. When there are good viewing conditions, many peaks of the Bernese, Valais and French Alps were visible in the background.
DE: Der Aussichtspunkt Chellenchöpfli bietert eine grossartige Aussicht nach Süden. Er befindet sich auf 1157 Meter über Meer auf dem Gemeindegebiet von Waldenburg über einer Felswand, direkt an der Grenze zum Kanton Solothurn. Der Ort ist von Norden her bequem zu Fuss zu erreichen.
Man sieht das Dorf Mümliswil genau vor sich, etwa drei Kilometer entfernt umgeben von den letzten Ausläufern des Jura-Gebirges. Dahinter beginnt gleich die Ebene des Schweizer Mittellandes. Bei klarer Sicht kann man im Hintergrund Bergzüge der Berner, Walliser und Französischen Alpen erkennen.
