Georgia Browns is a largish pub (formerly the Famous Lion pub, the hanging sign can still be seen) that has been converted from an old furniture shop called Lions Furnishings. Above what would have been the shop frontage are four large ornamental upright seated lions. They are ceramic appearance, the two central lions face out from the building, the lions on the corners look away from the building. Unfortunately the lions situated on the corners have lost their heads.

Food is available and parties of all sizes can be catered for. It has a smart and comfortable modern interior. It attracts an eclectic customer base during the day, a younger crowd by night. There is a small smoking patio to the rear.
