The building is now the Erie Canal Museum. It is on Erie Boulevard which was once the Erie Canal.

from the sign with the photo shown: "Cargo weight equaled total weight minus empty boat weight...Tolls were based on the weight and type of cargo...canal tolls were abolished in 1882."
