In a Louis XV style, it is an Italian theater that has mobilized other artists for its decoration as the sculptor Georges Trugard, the painter Georges Clairin. But also Joseph Ascoli, a sculptor who decorates the upper façade of the facade with his work "The Champagne vine inspires theatrical Art".
It honors the spanish actress Gabrielle Dorziat.

The coat of arms of Epernay derives its origin from that of Louise of Savoy, mother of King Francis I. She had offered it to Epernay in 1525 as a sign of gratitude for the city she had protected after the razzias of the Emperor Charles V.'s troops across the Marne.
