The family name, "Peyton", is on the reverse of the headstone. On the front, the Woodmen emblem is above Tom Austin's name, noting him as the member of the Woodmen of the World. His inscription is simple:

Tom Austin
1858 - 1924

A United States Aviator Badge above Harry Lamar's name notes that he was a Senior Aviator, and his inscription is:

Harry Lamar
1893 - 1918

A soldier of the cross
and of his country.
