Das Wappen zeigt im oberen Teil ein goldenes Kreuz auf rotem Hintergrund. Im unteren Teil befinden sich vier goldene senkrechte Pfähle ebenfalls auf rotem Hintergrund. Seit dem 22. Juli 1975 ist es als offizielles Wappen der Stadt genehmigt.
Die Farben des Wappens, die Zahl der Pfähle und die Form des Kreuzes wechselten im Laufe der Jahrhunderte. Die heutige Fassung geht zurück auf einen Magistratsbeschluss von 1931.
The coat of arms shows in the upper part a golden cross on a red background. In the lower part are four golden vertical pales also on a red background. Since 22. July 1975 it is approved as the official coat of arms of the city.
The colors of the coat of arms, the number of pales and the shape of the cross changed over the centuries. The today's version goes back to a magistrate's decision of 1931.
