The King, Elvis himself was right there, in the window of a store we had passed by possibly a dozen times in the last few years and simply never noticed him or the name of the store, "
Elvis Fine Jewellery". It turned out that the store was owned by a man named Elvis who decided that it couldn't hurt business if he were to capitalize on the fact that he was given the same first name at birth as
The King.
Elvis (the store owner) has turned the store into an Elvis (The King) shrine, with all the walls and even the ceiling plastered with Elvis memorabilia, photos, records, license plates, almost every type of Elvis keepsake imaginable.
The centerpieces of Elvis' (the store owner) collection are a pair of Elvis (The King) statues, one of Elvis playing his guitar and belting out a song. The other is of a more laid back Elvis, in leather pants and jacket and leaning up against a wall, just watching the world go by.
So, I guess this could mean that some of the recent Elvis sightings emanating from the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia could be true.
