The highest point of Dundee in Scotland is near the base of a water tower on Gallow Hill in the far north-western corner of the city boundary

At 573 feet, it just beats the 571.2 feet of The Law, the volcanic plug that dominates the centre of the city.

The point is only just within the city boundary, being within a quarter of a mile south of the border with the county of Angus.

The base of the tower can only be reached on foot via a network of paths that cross Templeton Woods or from nearby Clatto Country Park to the north-east.

Of all the geographical high points in Scotland, this is easily the lowest.
