Lone Elm Cemetery is located west of Claremore on Highway 20 (E490 Road). At its entrance is a huge elm tree, which probably was the only tree standing in this area when the cemetery was established. A photo in the gallery gives you an idea of how large this tree is.
The cemetery has 920 burials and has a gravel drive leading from the entrance south, with a loop encircling a south section of the cemetery. The area is located just east of the Verdigris Rover. The cemetery is flat with some large trees, and is partially surrounded by a picket fencing.
