This ship's anchor is at the gate to a self-catering holiday cottage on the A15 (Road of the Scarffe's Ridge) in Port-e-Vullen.
The cottage is named 'The Anchorage' and affords magnificent views of Ramsey Bay and the north of the Island and beyond, especially on a clear day.
The beach at Port-e-Vullen can be reached down a private cliff track, but those who are less mobile can use the public slip-way access which is close by.
