En 1900, Georges Mabille, fait démonter un hangar à ballons signé Eiffel, utilisé lors de l’Exposition Universelle et le fait remonter à Amboise pour y installer un atelier de fabrication de charpentes métalliques. Il décède en 1927, l’activité continue mais cesse totalement pendant la guerre.
En 1940, Jean Daninos y installe un atelier d’emboutissage automobile. En 1954, il lance la première voiture de la marque Facel Véga. L’entreprise emploie jusqu’à 400 salariés. Elle ferme ses portes en octobre 1964. Aujourd’hui, une quarantaine d’employés de la société métallurgique Prestal continuent à travailler dans le bâtiment Eiffel.
In 1900, Georges Mabille, had a balloon shed signed Eiffel dismantled, used during the Universal Exhibition and brought it up to Amboise to install a workshop for the manufacture of metal frames. He died in 1927, activity continues but ceases altogether during the war.
In 1940, Jean Daninos set up a car stamping workshop there. In 1954, he launched the first car of the Facel Véga brand. The company employs up to 400 people. It closed its doors in October 1964. Today, about forty employees of the Prestal metallurgical company continue to work in the Eiffel building.
