On the western end of the bridge to Dunbogan is the plaque for the opening of this bridge in 1966, by the Department of Public Works, NSW.

It seems that this bridge is NOT meant to have enough clearance for an average power boat, but certainly canoes coming down Camden River from Kendall can paddle underneath this. Just slightly 'Arched', but at high tide not much clearance.

The plaque, on the northern side reads:
"Department of Public Works, N.S.W.
To commemorate the Completion of
Laurieton Bridge
This plaque was unveiled, and the bridge
handed over to Hastings Shire Council, by
The Hon. Davis Hughes, M.L.A.
Minister for Public Works
on 10th December, 1966.
