The gauge of Innsbruck/Inn - Der Pegel Innsbruck/Inn - River Gauges on Waymarking.com

This is the rivergauge of Innsbruck/Inn. It's an automatic gauge with digital recording of the measured data and remote transmission to the Hydrographic Service of Tirol. The gauge is measuring the water-level, the temperature and the turbidity of the water continuously. With the small ropeway it is possible to take samples of the water from every point of the riverprofile.

The gauge Inn is quite historic. In 1776 it was first mentioned. That time it was a simple wood-bar gauge.

Dies ist der Pegel Innsbruck/Inn. Eine vollautomatische Messstelle mit digitaler Speicherung der Messdaten und automatischer Fernübertragung der Daten an den Hydrographischen Dienst Tirol. Hier werden Wasserstand (Durchfluss), Wassertemperatur und Trübung kontinuierlich gemessen. Es ist ferner möglich mit Hilfe einer Seilbahn vollautomatisch Wasserproben von jeder Stelle des Flussprofils zu nehmen. Die gemessenen Daten sind heute im Internet verfügbar, siehe dazu den Link weiter unten. Der Pegelstand wird aber auch über verschiedene Radiosender mehrmals täglich weiter gegeben. Der Pegel Inn verfügt über eine lange Geschichte. Bereits 1776 gab es in Innsbruck einen einfachen Lattenpegel zur Anzeige der Wasserhöhe.
