Wir haben für Sie Riesling, Spätburgunder, Dornfelder, Weißer Burgunder, Kerner, Grauer Burgunder und Chardonnay. All diese Rebsorten bauen wir in unseren eigenen Weinbergen für Sie an. Bei der Herstellung unserer Weine verzichten wir weitestgehend auf Maschinen. Hier ist die Weinherstellung noch Handarbeit. Das merkt man auch im Geschmack.

Ein traditionelles Familienunternehmen.
Im Jahr 1638 kam der Dorflehrer Jakob Hohn aus der Nähe von Linz am Rhein nach Leutesdorf und begann mit dem Weinbau. Heute wird der Betrieb von mir, Peter Hohn, in der zwölften Generation geführt.
Unsere Weinstöcke stehen überwiegend an den steilen Hängen des Mittelrheintales. Dort ist die Wärme der Sonnenstrahlen am stärksten. Auch von der Oberfläche des Rheins werden sie reflektiert. Zusammen mit der Eigenschaft des Schieferbodens, Wärme zu speichern, entsteht ein mediterranes Klima.
Auf einer Fläche von 3,6 Hektar stehen etwa 16.000 Reben. Davon sind 65 Prozent Riesling, je etwa 10 Prozent Spätburgunder, Dornfelder und Weißer Burgunder sowie ein wenig Kerner, Grauer Burgunder und Chardonnay. Die Arbeit in den Steilhängen war und ist reine Handarbeit. Vom Pflanzen der Reben bis zur Ernte der Trauben ist bei einer Steigung bis 80 Prozent keine Mechanisierung möglich.

A traditional family business.

Our winestocks are mostly on the steep slopes of the Middle Rhine Valley. There the heat of the sun is strongest. They are also reflected from the surface of the Rhine. Together with the property of the slate floor to store heat, a Mediterranean climate arises.
On an area of ??3.6 hectares are about 16,000 vines. Of these, 65 percent are Riesling, 10 percent each of Spätburgunder, Dornfelder and Weißer Burgunder and a little Kerner, Gray Burgundy and Chardonnay. The work in the steep slopes was and is pure manual work. From the planting of the vines to the harvest of the grapes, no increase of 80% is possible.
