The bust, which is a gift from the Indian government, was unveiled on April 12, 2015 by the Indian Prime Minister. Prime Minister Modi said in his speech, "Gandhi is not just a member of India, he belongs to the whole world."
It is made of bronze, about one meter high, weighs about 210 kilograms and rests on a granite base.
