A 25' high granite obelisk marks the center of the area of Hillcrest Park Cemetery reserved for the burial of members of the IOOF. The obelisk has the inscription of the IOOF motto FRIENDSHIP - LOVE - TRUTH in raised capital letter on the sides of the lower base of the obelisk. On the shaft above TRUTH is the insignia of the International Order of Odd Fellows the letters F-L-T inside the links of a chain. Above FRIENDSHIP is the raised image of a three linked chain and the letter R in a circle, representing the Daughters of Rebekah, the ladies auxiliary of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
