The golf course at Kirriemuir is situated on the north-eastern outskirts of the town on the north facing slope of Kirriemuir Hill. The clubhouse lies on the highest point of the site and from here the course falls away to the north with views of the mountains and Angus Glens. The course is relatively short, there are no par fives and only a few holes longer than four hundred yards, but the small sloping greens make it very tricky. The newer part of the course to the east containing holes two thru eight is parkland, with the rest of the course heathland with whin bushes in abundance.
