The Blue Cat Cafe at 95 Navasota in East Austin serves great vegan food (made in a food truck outside) to a diverse clientele, all of whom love cats!

"GREAT FOOD, GREAT CATS, and GREAT FUN!!
We absolutely LOVED our visit to the Blue Cat Cafe! Our children enjoyed making the acquaintance of several cats, all of whom were very calm and friendly. The varied types of toys available to play with the cats with ensured everyone got to have some feline fun time.
Food is vegan, made to order in the food truck outside the cafe. We had the black bean non-dairy cheese burger with soy bacon, which was delicious.
Italian grilled cheeze sandwich was similarly yum -- we are not vegans so we're very pleasantly surprised by how delicious vegan alternatives to dairy and meat are. Our server was kind, helpful, and attentive. She checked on us several times during the 90min we spent at the cafe.
We will be back on our next trip to Austin - our children would not forgive us if we didn't come back!!
A truly enjoyable lunch, and knowing that over 200 cats have found forever homes here makes us feel good about supporting the mission.

"Overview
Does the idea of a cat café give you some paws? There’s no need to go into catniptions. Blue Cat Café is a first-of-its-kind venture — not just for Austin, but the entire state of Texas. We’re bringing together adorable, adoptable kitties and great food and coffee in a setting that makes you feel right at home. Our prime objective is to find forever homes for stray and shelter cats. But we also help teach guests about what makes for a happy human/cat relationship. And because cats love to accessorize, we offer all of the accoutrements your cat might need — from food and litter to furniture and toys — both on-site and through our online store.
