In a day and age where newspapers want money to restore archived content, it is difficult to locate an obituary for Mrs. Baker. However, Mayfield Kiser Funeral Home in Burleson, TX comes through with a short notice that indicates that yes, she did make it to 100.
"FORT WORTH — Jewel Pringle Baker, 100, a retired homemaker, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006, at a local nursing home."
