This Victorian post box stands in front of Peterborough Court on Fleet Street. It has a plaque attached to it that reads as follows:
"This plaque commemorates the bicentenary od the birth of Anthony Trollope (1815-1882), who introduced pillar boxes to the United Kingdom in 1852.
In 1855 this street became one of the first in London to have a pillar box."
This is the post box we used to send postcards back to the USA while on vacation in London.
