Folly Farm story:
"We've always been farmers, but we're much more than a farm. You can visit over 750 animals at our zoo, and get up close to rare breeds, furry and feathery farmyard friends.

Ever wanted to see lions, rhinos, giraffes or penguins up close? At Folly Farm, you’ll find a world-class zoo with over 90 different species. All in the heart of the Pembrokeshire countryside.

Come along to the Petting Farm in the Jolly Barn, where even the smallest children can see and touch some of our best-loved animals.

The Jolly Barn:
was once the farm’s dairy parlour, but now it’s a firm favourite with families. Part of our farm park, it’s the perfect place to introduce your little ones to farm animals for the first time.
You’ll find almost every farm animal you can think of. From ferrets and fancy mice to miniature ponies, shire horses, donkeys and goats. They’re all in the Jolly Barn. And, of course, no farm would be complete without lambs, hens and chicks. You can also milk the cows – our lifelike plastic models!

Percy's Piggery:
Over the road, there’s Percy’s Piggery plus llamas, alpacas and more goats and sheep. So we have plenty of space for lots of children to enjoy. They’ll also learn something, too – about how these animals live, and the rare breeds we keep.

During our timetabled activities we supervise everyone carefully to keep them safe while they’re having fun. And we look after hygiene too, with plenty of hand-washing facilities. So you don’t have to worry." Text source: (visit link)

From the Visit Wales Website:
"Holders of the Best Family Day Out in Wales award, Folly Farm offers four fantastic reasons to visit… a friendly farmyard, spectacular zoo, enormous vintage funfair and an imaginative range of indoor and outdoor adventure play!

Set in the stunning Pembrokeshire countryside, Folly Farm is a farm diversification success story. In 1988, this former dairy farm with the same name, opened its doors to the public to demonstrate how its cows were milked. Nearly 25 years on, Folly Farm is one of the top paid-for visitor attractions in Wales and wins awards for it." Text Source: (visit link)

Folly Farm - Adventure Park & Zoo:
"Initially a farm attraction, the park is now also home to an indoor vintage funfair, a zoo with over 200 different species of animal and extensive indoor and outdoor adventure play areas. New to Folly Farm in 2013 was Penguin Coast, a state-of-the-art saltwater penguin enclosure which is home to 24 Humboldt penguins."

The Zoo animal collection includes: Bactrian Camel, bongo, fossa, lemurs, meerkats, the only giraffes in Wales;, lions and Eastern Black Rhinos. The aviaries are home to: parrots, owls, cranes, herons, stocks, Kookaburra, turaco, ibis and lovebirds. The reptile collection includes snakes, tortoises and iguanas.

The Zoo is a member of EAZA and BIAZA taking part in a European breeding program for Eastern Black Rhinos, which are listed as critically endangered animals according to the IUCN red list: Text Source: (visit link)
