Mr. Goode passed away in March of 2015, and the future of these highway giants is unclear. His will stipulated that these five Big People will be here for at least five years (through March 2020) before they could be sold off. They are viewable, 24/7.

When viewing the Big People from FM 371, this 22 foot tall cowboy stands in the center, flanked by a Big John and Uniroyal Gal at his right (south), and a Big John and another Cowboy at this left (north). He wears a white Stetson hat, waving with his right hand while his left hand is at his side. His shirt is light blue, with red lettering on both sides, advertising Mr. Goode's business, along with two phone numbers. His slacks are a darker blue, pressed, pleated and cuffed at the bottom, held up with a black belt with a silver buckle. Roadside America (see link) provides a blurb:

This fiberglass guy in a cowboy hat is one of Glenn Goode's earliest acquisitions, bought in 1971 from a Garland, Texas go-cart track. The head is regulation Muffler Man style -- Glenn cast it from a Muffler Man in Canton, Texas. The arms are not standard muffler- or ax-bearing. And the pants are pressed and pleated.

Glenn's ingenuity in cobbling together Muffler Men parts from different sources has also led to some non-standard hybrids. None of Glenn's five fiberglass giants is a truly orthodox Muffler Man, but who's quibbling? His line-up is unique.
