Cumberland Cemetery - Golden Pond, KY USA - Worldwide Cemeteries on Waymarking.com

This is one of two cemeteries that was moved to adjoin an existing cemetery named Matheny. Both cemeteries were moved before the dam was put in to form Kentucky Lake on the Tennessee River.

This Cumberland Cemetery was missing its sign when I visited it, though you can see it in the FindAGrave entry for the cemetery (link below). Although there are a large number of grave markers missing dates (43!), the oldest recorded grave is from 1862 -- during the US Civil War. At the time of this waymark posting there was a grave from the same year (2016), so it is still active.
