Engine 61 housed at Station 1 is a first response vehicle. The Pierce truck is equipped with a 1500 gpm Hale pump and carries 1250 gallons of water.

It has compressed air foam capabilites. Twin crosslay bays hold 1 3/4" attack lines. The lay is such that one man can pulled all 150 ft of hose out of the bay at one time. The method allows the hose to avoid kinks as it is deployed. Engine 61 is dispatched to rescue calls and carries equipment to perform extrications, stabiliztions, and render aid to injured parties.
