For being in an area that only sees Soldiers and hunters, this marker is in amazing shape. This part of Fort McCoy, WI is open to the public when training is not happening.

Found just off a dirt hunting/service road, this disk has aged amazingly well. Located on the South Post area of Fort McCoy, this disk is accessible to the public when training is not going on (watch for signs and military vehicles on Hwy 21. Do not try and find this mark between June thru August).

The best way to get to this marker is to travel on Hwy 21 near Fort McCoy's main gate. Turn South onto J Street and follow it until you near a railroad crossing. Right before the railroad crossing you will see the dirt hunting/service road. Take a right on the dirt road and follow your GPS the rest of the way. The marker will be just on the right side of the dirt road.
