The Putmolen, also called Molen No.4 is build in 1801, it is of the type "Grondzeiler", an octagonal windmill. The mill drains the "Put" (well), the lowest part of the drained polder on the west side of Aarlanderveen and grinds the water in the upper part of the polder, the upper block. Next to the mill stands a small working replica of the mill with a paddle wheel.
