The Mont Wright is right at the exit of Québec urban area. A 30 minutes car ride and a small, but hazardous approach trail (1.5km) will bring you to probably a nicer site then the Champlain, with a similar quality. The wall is half-way of the summit of Mt Wright so far enough to forget the city yet near enough to go during the week.

"Mostly top-rope and you may style trad your way on some of the route but only few sport climb there. There is however a lot of easy route and so this is a great place to initiate your people or even for a family day.

Be sure to take your harness and a personal anchor (two would be even better on the trail to go to the top) with you when installing top-rope! The access to the top is really well done with steel cable and some ladder so it is secure but stay vigilant. The trail scared some of my friends, when accompanied me to the top. it's like a little Via Ferrata! "
