Glenwood Park is located on W. Main Street and N. Ash Avenue. This is a city park with playground equipment, hiking trails, a skate park, splash pad, swimming pool, picnic areas and restrooms.
The park was built in 1939 by the WPA. Local laborers constructed rock retaining walls, a tennis court (no longer in existence), rock drainage ditches and concrete footbridges. The WPA was a government program to put local men to work during the Depression Era. Many examples of their work are still evident at the park.
For swimming pool hours and fees, call 580-436-8102. The City offers swimming lessons and various events at the pool and in the park.
