Bei Anreise nach der Insel Borkum mit dem Schiff legt man im Hafen an, der weit entfernt ist von der Stadt Borkum. Von dort gelangt man mit der Kleinbahn zur Innenstadt und diesem Bahnhof.
Aber auch Ausflugsfahrten kann man mit der Borkumer Kleinbahn unternehmen.
