Die Knorrhütte wurde 1855 als kleine Schutzhütte erbaut. Seit 1873 wird die Hütte vom DAV bewirtschaftet. Die Hütte ist von Mai bis Anfang Oktober für Bergsteiger und Bergwanderer geöffnet.

Auf einer Höhe von 2052m liegt die Knorrhütte ideal für einen Aufstieg auf die Zugspitze (Dauer: ca. 3 Std.). Sie verfügt über 120 Schlafplätze und eine Gastwirtschaft mit durchgängig warmen Essen und einer Vielzahl von Getränken. Das Frühstück ist einfach aber in Ordnung.

Zugänge zur Knorrhütte:
* Von Garmisch-Partenkirchen (Olympia-Skistadion) durch die Partnachklamm ins Reintal, vorbei an Reintalangerhütte (ca. 6-7 Stunden)
* Von Ehrwald zur Ehrwalder-Alm, vorbei an dem Feldernjöchl, über das Gatterl (von Ehrwalder-Alm ca. 2,5 Stunden)

The Knorrhütte was built in 1855 as a small shelter. Since 1873, the hut is managed by the DAV. The hut is open from May to early October for mountaineers and hikers.

At an altitude of 2052m the Knorrhütte is ideal for an ascent of the Zugspitze (Duration: approx. 3 hours). The hut has 120 beds and a restaurant with consistently warm food and a variety of beverages. The breakfast is simple but ok.
