Vilich is a district of Bonn-Beuel. Vilich was first mentioned in 942 in a charter of Otto I as "Vilicam". The Schillerstraße is located in the center of the historic core of Vilich. In Schillerstraße was the "Schevasteshof" located, where Ernst von Schiller died (1796-1841), who was the son of the German poet Friedrich von Schiller. Since 1904, the street ist named Schillerstraße - previously it was called just "Village Road".
