This overlook is stop number 13 along the famous 17-Mile Drive in Pebble Beach.
It provides beautiful vistas of Monterey Bay.

"Fanshell Beach is one of the beaches along the famous 17 Mile Drive inside the private gates of Pebble Beach, CA. A fee is charged to the general public if they want to take this drive or access any of the beaches. Fanshell is a north-facing beach that is mostly a rocky shoreline with some small pockets of sand. Above the beach on the west end is the Fanshell Overlook with a parking lot. This is one of the highlighted scenic spots on the map they give you when you enter Pebble Beach. There are also several pull-out parking areas along the shoulder of 17 Mile Drive right behind the beach. It’s fun to walk around on the rocks and the sandy spots, but watch for large waves that can sneak in on you. Fanshell Beach is popular with harbor seals and is closed to humans all of April and May. During that time you can still and take photos from the overlook or the road."
