The plaque is about 2 feet by 3 feet and is made of bronze. Some corrosion can be seen on the concrete wall. The plaque is located at the base of the stairs on the south east corner of the building, facing due south. It depicts Washington and the harsh winter stay in 1777 during the American Revolution.
