Located on the Iowa State Capital grounds in Des Moines. The dimensions and tone of this exact replica of the Liberty Bell are those of the original bell when it rang out our independence in 1776. This bell has no fence around it and has a cord attached to the clapper. You can walk up to it and pull on the cord yourself to make it ring. Gently now. The E-flat tone seems to go on forever.
