The Oklahoma Law Enforcement Memorial is a large dedication to the history of Oklahoma law enforcement, and to those who gave their lives in its service.
At the entrance to this memorial is a granite open Bible on which quotations related to law and order, and selfless sacrifice are quoted:
Proverbs 29:18 -"Where there is no vision, the people perish but he that keepeth the law, happy is he."
John 15:13 - "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
At the west side of the memorial is a small sundial. Etched on the four sides of its base are appropriate quotations:
John F. Kennedy: "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country."
Calvin Coolidge: "No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave."
Theodore Roosevelt: "No man is above the law and no man is below it; nor do we ask any man's permission when we request him to obey it."
Thomas Jefferson: "The execution of the law is more important than the making of them."
