In Waltham, on Waltham Common, is the Circle of Remembrance, which features a plaza with engraved bricks of veterans who served in the military from various times.

The common is bounded by Main Street, Moody Street, Carter Street, and Elm Street. The plaza is a little south of the center, closest to Carter Street.

The plaza is a circle of bricks with seven flag poles rising from them, and bounded by benches, grass, and bushes. The bricks are both engraved and plane. The engraved bricks are placed in groups, sometimes marked by war. Bricks are engraved with difference text, according to how the donor wanted it.

The local American Legion Post (156), has a web page about the bricks. The bricks are $100 and can have a name, military service, years of service and other designations, such as KIA or MIA.
