Das kleine Schloss steht auf dem Gelände eines alten Rittergutes, welches im Jahr 1285 erstmals erwähnt wurde. Im Laufe der Jahre hatte das Gut verschiedene Besitzer. Im Jahr 1720 ließ der damalige Besitzer Johann Ernst Kregel von Sternbach (
visit link) das Herrenhaus zu einem barocken Gebäude umbauen und den bis heute bestehenden representativen Park anlegen.
Auch in den folgenden Jahren war das Schloss im Besitz verschiedener (weniger bekannter) Persöhnlichkeiten. Im Jahr 1900 erhielt das Gebäude einen neoklassizistischen Anbau mit Balkon über dem Eingang. Das Schloss wurde somit noch eindrucksvoller.
Im Jahr 2006 wurde das Schloss umfassend restauriert und beherbergt heute die Firma 'Geiger Edelmetalle' und das Trauzimmer des Standesamts Großpösna.

This small castle stands on the ground of an old manor, which was first mentioned in 1285. Over the years, the manor had different owners. In 1720 the owner of the manor 'Johann Ernst Kregel von Sternbach' (
visit link) rebuild the mansion to a baroque building and create the still existing representativen Park.
In the following years, the castle owned by different (lesser-known) people. In 1900 the building got a neoclassical extension with balcony above the entrance. The castle become so even more impressive.
In 2006 the castle has been completely restored. Now the castle houses the company 'Geiger Edelmetalle' and the ceremonial hall of the registry office Großpösna.
