"Nachdem die Kirche am 5. März 1945 durch Bomben fast vollkommen zerstört worden war, kam es nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg, zwischen 1948 und 1950, zu einem Neubau. Lediglich der Turm der alten Kirche blieb erhalten."
